Job Summary
Overview
We are seeking anIT Technical Support Specialist Intern to join our team at UnityPoint Health! Applicants can expect to provide limited technical support and other administrative duties as directed by theIT Technical Support Specialists and their supervisors. This position is intended forindividuals pursuing education in Information Technology careers and can be used to completeinternship or other work-study requirements.
Hours: Monday-Friday day shift - up to 32 hours/week
Location: Cedar Rapids IA

Responsibilities
Departmental & Technical Support:
- Performs quarterly end of lease activities as assigned.
- Assistson local and enterprise IT projects.
- Works collaboratively and closely withlocal CDSteam members to ensure customer satisfaction needs are accomplished in acceptable time-frames.
- Performs necessary system upgrades repairs and maintenance on computer systems and peripherals.
- Installs integrates and configures new computer systems.
- Utilizes problem tracking system and procedures utilized by IT and communicates needed changes to the system administrator.
Customer Service:
- Works collaboratively and closely with Regional Service Manager customers other IT team members to ensure customer satisfaction needs are accomplished in acceptable time-frames.
- As directed interacts with customers to ensure hardware and software needs are met in acceptable time-frames.
Business Support:
- As directed supports Corporate Unified Communications and Video Conferencing solutions as required and able.
- Completes special projects andrequired reportsas assigned.
- Performs other duties as requested to facilitate the smooth and effective operations of the department.
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or GEDand enrollment in post-secondary education towards a degree in Information Technology or related field
Experience:
- Requires experience with personal computers
Skills:
- Basic knowledgeof computer systemsandsoftware
- Requiresstrongoral and writtencommunications skills to effectively workwith all levels of management throughout the UnityPoint Health its subsidiaries and affiliates.
- Must havebasictelephone and typing skills
- Ability to work as a team member creating and maintaining effective working relationships
- Ability to understand and apply guidelines policies and procedures
