Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with strong Insurance / Property & Casualty (P&C) domain experience to lead technology projects from initiation through successful delivery. The ideal candidate will be a strong project owner who can manage timelines budgets risks stakeholders requirements and delivery execution across business and IT teams.

This role requires excellent leadership communication emotional intelligence and the ability to work closely with business stakeholders SMEs product teams and technical teams. The Project Manager should be comfortable writing requirements user stories and use cases when required.

Key Responsibilities

Define project goals scope deliverables timelines and success criteria in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
Create and manage comprehensive project plans schedules milestones budgets and implementation plans.
Develop RACI matrices to clearly define roles and responsibilities across project teams.
Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment ensuring scope schedule budget and quality expectations are met.
Identify track and mitigate project risks issues dependencies and blockers.
Provide regular project status updates milestone reports and executive-level communication to stakeholders.
Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure successful project execution.
Partner with SMEs business stakeholders and technology teams to align project vision requirements priorities and delivery plans.
Work across business units to gather requirements document processes and support solution delivery.
Guide teams on SDLC best practices Agile delivery and technology project execution.
Prioritize project activities based on business value customer impact and delivery timelines.
Support business analysis / product owner activities including documentation of requirements user stories and use cases when needed.
Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned successful outcomes and improvement areas.

Required Skills and Qualifications

8 years of proven experience as an IT Project Manager.
Strong experience managing technology projects across business and IT teams.
Experience in the Insurance industry preferably Property & Casualty insurance.
Strong understanding of SDLC Agile frameworks and technology project delivery best practices.
Experience with process mapping group facilitation data gathering analysis and project lifecycle management.
Ability to work closely with business stakeholders SMEs product teams and technical teams.
Experience documenting requirements in user story use case or business requirements format.
Strong analytical problem-solving negotiation and decision-making skills.
Excellent leadership communication time management and organizational skills.
Ability to manage high-pressure situations competing priorities and tight deadlines.
Self-directed and able to take ownership with minimal supervision.
Technical background with understanding of software development web technologies or enterprise applications.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Visio Excel Word and PowerPoint.
Experience using Smartsheet or similar project management tools.
Familiarity with data warehouses is a strong plus.
Product management experience is a plus.
PMP certification is preferred.
