Title: IT Project Manager III
Position Description
- The IT Project Manager III/ IT Liaison will serve as an experienced professional to serve as the liaison between Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA)/Owner IT projects Operations and stakeholders ensuring coordination and minimizing operational impacts through strong knowledge of job site operations airport technology systems contractor management and cross-functional collaboration.
Position Description Summary
- An experienced and operationally knowledgeable professional to serve as the liaison between Owner s IT projects Operations and key stakeholders.
- This role is responsible for ensuring alignment e ective communication and coordinated execution across all parties acting as a central point of integration between job site IT initiatives and operational requirements.
- Candidate will possess strong knowledge of airport operations at Los Angeles International Airport/LAX along with a comprehensive understanding of airport technology systems infrastructure and the IT frameworks that support operational equipment.
- This individual will collaborate closely with internal teams airline partners Owner stakeholders and contractors to support project coordination with a focus on identifying and mitigating operational impacts through the application of airport operational expertise.
- This position requires demonstrated experience in contractor management stakeholder engagement and cross-functional coordination.
- The successful candidate will be able to translate operational needs into technology-driven solutions and maintain a broad understanding of airport equipment and systems including their integration with IT networks and infrastructure to support seamless implementation across multiple terminals.
Essential Job Duties
- Serve as the primary liaison between Owner s IT project teams Airport Operations and key stakeholders
- Facilitate alignment and communication across internal teams airline partners Owner s stakeholders and contractors
- Provide timely and accurate updates on project status milestones risks and dependencies
- Support coordination of IT project activities across multiple terminals to ensure consistency and awareness
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify potential operational impacts and support mitigation e orts through operational expertise
- Coordinate and engage with contractors to support project execution scheduling and compliance with operational requirements
- Participate in project meetings site walks and operational brie ngs to maintain situational awareness
- Assist in tracking project progress action items and deliverables to support successful implementation
- Support the integration of airport equipment and systems with IT infrastructure ensuring alignment with operational needs
- Identify risks gaps and coordination challenges and escalate as appropriate
- Foster strong working relationships across terminals and stakeholder groups to support e cient project delivery

- Gate/Terminal operational equipment supporting day-to-day airport operations.
Professional Experience Level/Other Quali cations
- Fifteen (15) years or more experience preferably on airport projects
- Experience working across multiple airport terminals and with diverse stakeholder groups
- Proven experience in Airport Operations preferably within a large hub environment such as Los Angeles International Airport
- Familiarity with LAX terminal projects and operational environment is preferred
- Experience with LAWA is preferred for interacting with LAWA City departments contractors and airlines
- Experience supporting end-users and/or managing teams is highly desirable with the ability to understand user needs and translate them into e ective operational and technical solutions
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Ability to communicate e ectively between technical and non-technical audiences
- High level of organizational awareness and operational understanding
- Excellent coordination problem-solving and multitasking abilities
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced airport environment
- Proactive detail-oriented and solutions-driven mindset
- Experience working in closely related elds such as airline operations terminal management and project management
- Exposure to or direct involvement in airport IT or infrastructure projects strongly preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Education/Training
- Bachelor s degree in Architecture Aviation Business Engineering Construction Management Planning or other related technical eld required
- Relevant professional licensure and/or certi cation are strongly preferred: Certi cations mayinclude AAAE LEED PE PMP AICP etc.
Compensation
- This role is salaried/exempt with a base annual salary range of $183900.00 - $193900.00 and commensurate with skill education experience and work location.
- This role is bonus eligible after 6 months of employment.
