Job Summary

Join the ECI Groups Professional Technical Services Network as a contract IT Project Execution Manager - Trading and Supply. This is a Houston based contract role with an anticipated 6-month duration with an estimated start date of July 1st.Note: You must be a US Citizen or Permanent US Resident to qualify for this position.

About the Role

The IT Project Execution Manager is comfortable running a technically dense enterprise change program with heavy environment vendor and test dependencies. Must have led platform upgrades major release validation or large-scale regression/smoke-test programs where infrastructure readiness software licensing technical SMEs test coordination and business communication all had to move in lockstep.

The ideal candidate will:
  • turn an ambiguous 50/50 estimate into disciplined execution through structured governance milestones RAID management and crisp decision escalation;
  • coordinate deeply technical teams without needing to be the architect especially across environment DBA application custom code and test workstreams;
  • manage external/vendor dependencies well especially where license delivery release notes product roadmap clarity and demo/education sessions with the vendor influence timing and stakeholder confidence;
  • handle execution under constrained capacity including explicit prioritization of BAU versus change and explain trade-offs credibly to senior stakeholders;
  • translate a technical smoke test into executive decisions: whether to progress pause re-scope or sequence follow-on capability work.
  • Drive prioritization decisions and alignment with broader upgrade strategy
  • Provide concise executive updates with clear risks decisions required and next steps
  • demonstrate ETRM experience preferably Endur
  • demonstrate knowledge of Trading & Supply landscape

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Agree and deliver programs projects and workstreams to agreed time cost quality risk and benefit within Shells standards and controls framework.
  • Proactively analyze variances against plan and trends threatening agreed scope time cost and quality commitments.
  • Identify where a project may be at risk and take appropriate action.
  • Engage internal and externalstakeholders e.g. users/customers/suppliers to benefit from the delivered products services and changes.
  • Develop and execute appropriate change and engagement plans to achieve necessary behaviour changes and maximize benefits.
  • Align expectations and ensure that stakeholders decisions are a timely and effective.
  • Mobilize and lead teams with a mixture ofstaffand suppliers across organisational boundaries and the natural team.
  • Ensure they have the necessary skills capacity and experience to achieve the required outcomes.
  • Develop the skills of team members through coaching delegation and providing stretching assignments.
  • Understand assess and embed the right delivery methodologies considering project and business constraints.
  • Assess programrisks and evaluatetrade-offs between cost time quality risk and benefit managing the business cases of your projects and workstreams.
  • Ensure all deliverables are fit for purpose meet all relevant requirements and are effectively transitioned to support and business-as-usual.
  • Ensure that the business value intended by the work is explicit agreed and delivered.
