IT Infrastructure Technician

Location: Indy East Facility (2700 N Richardt Ave Indianapolis Indiana)Lakeside Book Companyis a hiring anIT Infrastructure Technicianthat provides on-site support for end-users resolving issues related to PC hardware software applications and other IT assets (e.g. LAN servers etc.). This role supports the design procurement installation and configuration of IT infrastructure to ensure effective and efficient technology use including systems such as power HVAC LAN servers and disaster recovery. The technician is also responsible for asset management of all IT resources within their assigned site(s).What Youll DoRespond to Service Desk referrals and resolve issues related to PC hardware softwareperipherals or production and track incidents based on severity urgency and business impact; escalatehighly complex issues to enterprise support groups or vendors as technical issues across hardware software internet connectivity networkapplications and with enterprise IT teams and external vendors to resolve issues accurate IT asset records including additions changes and opportunities for process improvements and incorporate solutions into in special projects and perform related duties as You BringBachelors degree in IT or a related field with 3 years of relevant experience or equivalentcombination of education and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply proven solutions to routine andmoderately complex to consistently deliver accurate timely results with minimal willingness to learn and support new IT areas and verbal and written communication skills; able to explain technical concepts clearly todiverse understanding of business concepts and ability to apply them when working withinternal and external listening skills and ability to articulate business and technical needs to travel occasionally (10%).Technical Proficiencies:Operating Systems: Windows 10/11 macOSProductivity Tools: Google Workspace (Gmail Docs etc.) Microsoft Office 365/2024Devices: Raspberry Pi handheld computing devicesNetworking: Aruba and Cisco technologies Cisco LAN configurationsTools & Monitoring: SolarWinds JiraScripting and automation
