The Basics

We areseekinga highly skilledITInfrastructure EngineerwithexpertiseinSystems Administrationto join theIT Engineeringteam at Tanium. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing implementing and managing ourhybrid systemsinfrastructure to ensurethe availability security and maintenance ofour systems.

This position follows the Companys hybrid schedule which currently requires employees to work in the office at one of the following locations a minimum of three days per week: Addison TX; Bellevue WA; Durham NC; Emeryville CA; or Reston VA.

What youll do

• Embrace Taniums mission and core values.
• Act as member of ITInfrastructure Engineering team with a focus on systems management and project delivery
• Perform infrastructure deployment management planning scaling scheduling etc.
• Drive and enhance automation wherever possible in the name of efficiency scalability and consistency
• Work with a variety of key business groups to architect and implement technology and solutions
• Be accountable for ensuring all technology is documenteddeployedand configured securelyand in alignment with best practices
• LeverageAI andautomation toolsextensivelyfordailytasks integrationsand operationand management of ITand businessservices
• Follow the change management process for system configuration installations and maintenance
• Collaborate withother technicalteams to resolve operational challenges and streamline workflows
• Participate in projectsrelated toiInfrastructurebusiness executionsecurityetc
• Solve incidents andadministrativetasks related to infrastructure services andother escalations from end-user support.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations processes andprocedures.
• Effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions to non-technical stakeholders fostering a collaborative and productive working environment.
• Participateinon-callrotations
• Be a team player who isadaptive self-motivated andsolution-oriented

Were looking for someone with

4 years as a Systems Administrator Operations Engineer Site Reliability Engineer Cloud Engineer or similar withrelevant enterprise experiencein the following areas:

• Strong background with Linux WindowsandVMware(or similar)systems administration and deployment.
• Direct administration experience with Cloud Computing & Networking Environments. Azure (preferred) AWSand GCP.
• Experience with Bash Python and PowerShell scripting
• Experience with TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting.
• Experience with backups high availability and overall infrastructure resiliency for cloud and on-premises technology
• Familiarity with monitoring and management of enterprise systems running on physical and cloud infrastructure
• Experience with Infrastructure as Codetoolsetse.g.Terraform Vault.
• Experience with Configuration Management toolsets - Ansible (Preferred).
• Experience with SAN storage arrays and troubleshooting.
• Ability to estimate and manage cloud usage costs andidentifyand operationalize cost control mechanisms preferred
• Familiarity with CI tools-GitHub Actions (preferred)
• Familiarity with Docker and other container technologies (KubernetesAmazonECS/EKS)
• Demonstrated ability to work with Enterprise Architecture Information Security GRC Product Engineering and other teams to drive architectural decisions for cloud and on-premises technologies

What youll get

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $113000 to $173000. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors including but not limited to location education skills training and experience.
