Overview:

Shaws ITDeploymentteamis responsible forimplementingand managing the IT infrastructure used across the role will involve configuring and setting up newendpointdevices supporting the break/fix process forfacilities primarilyin the North Georgia areaperforming some network-support tasksandassistingusers with hardware/software issues bothremotelyandinperson.

We are seeking a skilled candidate with a passion for solving real-world problemsexperienceimplementing solutions that make a difference and a focus on customer service. The successful candidate will be intelligent curious self-motivatedhighlyorganized andhavemastery inmanagingcompeting demands in an position is full-time (40 hours/week)with the possibility of overtime hours as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Configure and set up new computer devices including desktops laptops servers printers and industrial devices.

• Support the break/fix process for Shaw facilities remotely and in person.

• Provide end user support forPCstabletsprinters networks cabling telecommunicationshandheldsand other devices/equipment.

• Assistwith the installation and removal of servers.

• Support video conferencing systems and presentation tools (cables basic set-up).

• Participate in departmental projects.

• Contribute to training and knowledge base documents.

• Perform basic network administration functions (suchasDHCP/DNS changes).

Requirements:

• AS Degree or 3 years of equivalent experience.

• Above average problem-solving skills.

• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing clearly and concisely.

• Possessexcellentorganizationaland time-management skills.

• Haveexcellent workhabits including the ability to work well and collaborate with others.

• Take initiative and honor commitments.

• Promote change in a continually improving organization.

• Valid Drivers License

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in manufacturing/distribution environment

• Experience creating and maintaining technical knowledge base

• Familiarity with SCCM/Intune functions

• Ability to communicate with stakeholders in clear and concise manner

• Experience in troubleshooting network issues at switch/server level

• Familiarity with Service Now or another enterprise-level ITSM

Demonstrated knowledgeinthe following areas:

• Computer Hardware (PCand Mac)

• Printers and peripherals

• Handheld Devices(Zebra and Android)

• ITSupport Tools

• Operating Systems (Windows iOS MAC Android)

• Microsoft Office family of products(M365)

• Networking devices (servers routers switches etc.)

Physical Demands:

An ITDeploymentTechnician may work in a climate-controlled environment if he or sheis required toprovide maintenance and repair for certain types of equipment but he or she may alsobe requiredto work outdoors in some settings. Regardless of this all IT DeploymentTechnicians will spend a great deal of time traveling. Physical demands also vary based upon the size of the equipment and its location.

While most work standard 40-hour five-day workweeks technicianstake turns being on-call during the off-hours to provide services to customers in emergencies. The ITDeploymentTechnician must be able to stand sit walk climb stairs and laddersmaintainbalancestoopand bendfrequently kneel crawl and occasionally reach over the head to perform work. They willfrequentlylift objects weighing30pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds carry push and pull objects while walking and use fingers on both hands simultaneously twist and exert pressure with wrists and hands.

In addition they must have visual acuity to seeminute detailsand long distances normal depth perception and good color vision. Hearing and voice communication skills must be sufficient to conduct normal conversation in person and on the telephone. The IT Deployment Technician also drives a vehicle works around electrical hazards and equipment which makes loud noises and works with sharp objects such as drill bits and screwdrivers. They have direct contact with staff and vendors andfrequentlywork with tight deadlines and without direct guidance from supervisors. This position may be filled asTechnicianI II or III depending upon experience.
