Western National is seeking a Delivery Team Lead to join our team!
The individual in this role will develop team capabilities in delivering customer and business value through effective collaboration planning prioritization and continuous improvement. By partnering with product technology and business leaders this individual will enable teams to apply Agile principles and delivery practices pragmatically to achieve organizational objectives while driving consistent high-quality delivery across multiple product teams.
What are the responsibilities and opportunities of this role
- Provides day-to-day leadership coaching performance management mentoring and career development for a team of Agile Delivery Leads while supporting and leading the successful delivery of strategic technology initiatives.
- Establishes consistent delivery leadership practices Agile methodologies and operational standards across multiple product teams.
- Partners with product management engineering architecture and technology leadership to align delivery execution with strategic priorities product roadmaps and organizational objectives.
- Provides oversight of delivery health across assigned product portfolios by proactively identifying risks dependencies resource constraints and opportunities for improvement.
- Fosters a culture of accountability collaboration continuous learning and servant leadership throughout the product delivery organization.
- Ensures Agile delivery leads effectively facilitate planning execution dependency management stakeholder communication and continuous improvement within their assigned teams.
- Supports capacity planning resource allocation and prioritization across multiple delivery teams in partnership with technology leadership.
- Monitors delivery metrics team performance indicators and organizational health measures to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develops scalable delivery processes that promote predictability transparency quality and efficient execution.
- Collaborates with functional leaders to resolve cross-team issues organizational impediments and competing priorities impacting delivery outcomes.
- Builds strong partnerships with internal stakeholders while ensuring effective communication across all levels of the organization.
- Consistently acts according to our customer experience standards including responding quickly maintaining a positive attitude building rapport demonstrating empathy managing customer expectations using the appropriate communication channel for the situation and taking ownership to ensure customer issues are resolved.
- Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
What are the must-have qualifications for a candidate
- Seven-plus years of experience leading technology delivery Agile delivery program management product delivery or related technology leadership functions.
- Previous experience leading coaching or mentoring technical or delivery professionals.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives across multiple teams.
- Experience working within Agile frameworks in technology organizations.
- Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with business and technology stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Strong people leadership coaching mentoring and employee development skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build high-performing engaged teams.
- Excellent organizational communication facilitation and interpersonal skills.
- Strong strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to influence without direct authority across cross-functional organizations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Understanding of Agile delivery frameworks product operating models and technology delivery practices.
- Experience with Agile planning and work management tools.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications and other standard business software.
- Bachelors degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
What will our ideal candidate have
- Experience leading Agile delivery leads scrum masters delivery managers or similar delivery leadership roles.
- Experience supporting product-centric operating models and digital transformation initiatives.
- Knowledge of Lean Agile and continuous improvement principles.
- Experience within the property-and-casualty insurance industry or another highly regulated environment.
Compensation overview
The targeted hiring range for this role is $120000-$160000 annually. However the base pay offered may vary depending on the job-related knowledge skills credentials and experience of each candidate as well as other factors such as the scope and location of the role. Candidates looking for compensation outside of the posted range are encouraged to apply and will be considered based on their individual qualifications and / or may be considered for other positions.
