Job Description:
This is a full-time/permanent on-site role in Lincoln Nebraska. Not eligible to be a contracted position.
**The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services does not sponsor or transfer non-immigrant work visas for this position or accept STEM OPT (form i-983) at any time. **
Examples of Work
- Design develop and maintain scalable UI automation frameworks and test suites.
- Create and execute automated and manual test cases for functional regression integration and end-to-end testing.
- Validate user interface functionality usability accessibility and cross-browser compatibility.
- Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins GitHub Actions or equivalent technologies.
- Analyze test results identify defects and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies sprint planning and release activities.
- Ensure adherence to QA standards testing best practices and software quality processes.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to automation strategy and quality improvements.
Requirements/Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: A bachelors degree or equivalent in computer science information systems mathematics engineering or other related field and two years of experience education or training in coding computer applications; programming experience can be substituted for education on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
- Experience with automation frameworks test management tools and defect tracking systems.
- Certifications in UX research usability testing or accessibility are advantageous.
- Experience with enterprise SaaS mobile and web applications.
- Docker and Kubernetes experience.
Other: Regular and reliable attendance. Not a remote position. This position must report to the Nebraska State Office Building (NSOB) in Lincoln.
Knowledge Skills Abilities
- Programming skills in Java Python JavaScript or C#.
- Security testing knowledge.
- Strong programming skills in Java JavaScript Python or C#.
- Knowledge of SDLC STLC Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Strong analytical troubleshooting and communication skills.
