Irrigation Technician (Temp)

We are actively seeking anIrrigation Technician to join our Employment Services this role you will maintain and repair complex irrigation systems on a large military base ensuring that all pipes valves clocks and controllers are functioning properly while maintaining safety standards and contract : MiramarSchedule: 6:30a-3:30p (Schedule may vary to meet program is a 3 month Temporary position. Pay: The pay for this position is $32.53 to $32.53 p/ you are:A task- oriented individual who enjoys troubleshooting and solving problems independentlySomeone with strong technical skills and an eye for maintaining industry standardsA typical day will include:Installing inspecting troubleshooting and repairing irrigation systemsOperating equipment such as tractors and backhoes to excavate and install new systemsIdentifying broken or malfunctioning parts and making repairs promptlyAdjusting watering schedules based on weather and water usage requirementsCollaborating with the Manager to meet service requirementsWhat youll need to be successful:Bachelors degree or certification in irrigation (or ability to obtain certification within one year)At least 3 years of experience working with commercial irrigation systemsStrong knowledge of water conservation practices including CIMISExperience with both electronic and manual watering systemsValid CA Drivers License with a clean driving recordAbility to work independently while following safety protocolsWed love it if you:Have experience working with drought tolerant plants and native speciesBilingual (English/Spanish)Have prior experience supervising a work crew or team
