A leading international law firm is seeking an Investment Funds & Private Equity Associate Attorney to join its Chicago office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing private fund sponsors and institutional investors in sophisticated investment fund formation and related transactions.

47 years of investment funds private equity fund formation or corporate transactional experience gained at a large law firm

Experience representing private fund sponsors and institutional investors in the formation and operation of private investment funds

Experience with the formation of private equity funds venture capital funds real estate funds and other private investment vehicles

Experience advising clients on co-investments secondary transactions and other complex investment structures

Experience drafting and negotiating fund formation documents subscription agreements side letters and related transactional documentation

Familiarity with securities laws investment adviser regulations and fund regulatory matters is preferred

Strong drafting analytical negotiation and communication skills

Ability to work directly with clients and assume significant responsibility

Excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

Illinois bar admission required or ability to become admitted

Sophisticated global investment funds platform

Representation of premier private fund sponsors and institutional investors

Significant client interaction and responsibility

Exposure to complex fund formation co-investment and secondary transactions
