A premier global law firm is seeking an Investment Funds Associate Attorney to join its Houston office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing private equity funds credit funds infrastructure funds energy funds venture capital funds institutional investors and fund sponsors in sophisticated investment fund formations and transactions.

36 years of investment funds private equity or corporate transactional experience gained at a sophisticated law firm

Experience representing private equity sponsors fund sponsors institutional investors investment advisers and asset managers

Experience handling private investment fund formations including private equity credit infrastructure energy real estate and venture capital funds

Experience drafting and negotiating limited partnership agreements limited liability company agreements subscription agreements side letters investment management agreements and other fund-related documentation

Experience advising clients regarding fund governance sponsor structuring carried interest arrangements co-investments and regulatory considerations

Experience supporting secondary transactions GP-led transactions fund restructurings or strategic investments is a plus

Strong drafting negotiation analytical organizational and communication skills

Ability to independently manage sophisticated matters while maintaining significant client interaction

Excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

Texas bar admission required or ability to become admitted
