Oakworth Capital Bank is expanding and has an excellent opportunity for someone to join our team in Birmingham AL! We are looking for a full-time Investment Analyst that will play a vital role in supporting our business goals and overall vision. Summary:

The Investment Analyst will be responsible in assisting the Wealth team on a wide variety of projects and analysis with components of strategy data gathering/inquiry and reporting. This role works closely with Wealth Leadership Portfolio Managers Client Advisors and Client Support across all markets to ensure a coordinated approach to serving our clients.

Key Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Point of contact for executing trades throughout the organization
  • Owns the process of rebalancing portfolios
  • Responsible for analyzing portfolios to ensure suitability
  • Creation and dissemination of internal investment communications
  • Assists in the creation of client meeting materials and proposals

Responsibility Details:

  • Manages the daily oversight for Black Diamond.
  • Owns and manages internal Investment Committee Meetings including management of meeting minutes.
  • Responsible for analyzing individual investments to ensure suitability.
  • May participate in client meetings occasionally.
  • Work with Wealth Leadership to foster an atmosphere of continual improvement encouraging new ideas and implementing best practices.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in economics finance accounting or related area of study is required.
  • One to two years of related experience and/or training is preferred.
  • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow with minimal guidance.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills as well as written and verbal communication skills.
  • Acute attention to detail.
