This position is essential meaning the duties this job performs are critical to the continued operations of the Ohio Department of Public Safety during a public safety emergency (OAC 123:& DAS Directive HR-D-11). This position will be required to report for duty during any public safety emergency.

What Youll Do as a Investigations Supervisor 1

Under direct supervision of the Chief of the Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) Investigations Section direct the operation of District Investigations Office & supervise assigned investigators:
Assign all cases requiring investigation within the district; Meet with investigators to review cases & to provide guidance &/or assistance; Act as a coordinator & maintain accountability for all cases;
Review & analyze all routine reports & complaints & routes to proper source;
Assume responsibility for the conduct & performance of all investigations assigned to the district;
Develop & implement procedures for the enforcement of motor vehicle laws.

Option 1
2 yrs. investigation exp. with experience corresponding to type of complaints & alleged violations appearing in job posting/approved position description;

AND valid drivers license.

Option 2
-Or 3 yrs. trg. or 3 yrs. exp. as investigator where experience does not correspond with cases/complaints/allegations to be assigned;

AND valid drivers license.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
