Position Summary:

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of all inventory and track-and-trace records across physical inventory ERP systems and METRC. This role serves as the primary point of accountability for inventory reconciliation cycle counts compliance reporting and outbound distribution activity.


This position plays a critical role in ensuring all inbound and outbound product movement is processed accurately and in compliance with California DCC regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented highly organized compliance-driven and experienced in inventory control within a regulated environment.


The Inventory Specialist will also support pick/pack operations maintain SOPs related to inventory and compliance and partner cross-functionally with manufacturing retail sales finance and leadership teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate inventory records across physical inventory ERP systems and METRC
  • Lead cycle counts reconciliations and discrepancy investigations
  • Ensure compliance with California DCC regulations and track-and-trace requirements
  • Process inbound and outbound inventory transfers manifests and supporting documentation
  • Pick pack and prepare orders for retail wholesale and distribution partners
  • Manage inventory workflows in the ERP system from order entry through invoice closeout
  • Coordinate with distribution partners vendors manufacturing retail sales and finance teams
  • Maintain SOPs related to inventory control and compliance procedures
  • Support audits inspections and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Maintain organization cleanliness and safe work practices within warehouse operations
  • Assist with additional operational and inventory-related duties as needed


Qualifications & Experience:

  • High School Diploma required; Associate degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience using METRC or similar inventory tracking systems in a regulated industry
  • Experience performing inventory control cycle counts reconciliations and audits
  • Experience working with ERP systems; Distru experience preferred
  • Strong analytical organizational and reporting skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables lookups and large dataset management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of California cannabis regulations preferred
  • Ability to adapt to changing state and local compliance requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Due to industry requirements candidates must be 21 years or older.
