Job Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical technology-drivenInventory & Opportunity Analystto oversee two critical areas of dealership performance:

  1. Opportunity Oversight Ensuring every customer opportunity is properly handled tracked and followed up on through the CRM.
  2. Inventory Analyst Managing inventory strategy acquisition stocking plans and vehicle merchandising using data-driven decision making.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with technology analyzing data holding teams accountable and driving measurable results. The successful candidate will work closely with dealership leadership sales managers BDC personnel service advisors and used vehicle teams to maximize sales opportunities and inventory performance.

Key Responsibilities

Opportunity Oversight

  • Review and monitor CRM activity daily.
  • Audit phone internet showroom and service-drive opportunities.
  • Ensure timely and proper follow-up on all customer leads.
  • Review missed appointments missed sales opportunities and unsold traffic.
  • Monitor vehicle exchange and service-to-sales opportunities.
  • Identify breakdowns in lead handling processes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Generate and distribute performance reports to dealership leadership.
  • Coach managers on CRM best practices and opportunity conversion strategies.
  • Maintain accountability for lead response times appointment setting appointment show rates and closing performance.

Inventory Analyst

  • Manage inventory strategy utilizing vAuto and dealership reporting tools.
  • Develop and maintain stocking plans based on market demand and dealership objectives.
  • Monitor inventory age turn rates market pricing and acquisition opportunities.
  • Assist with vehicle acquisition efforts including trades purchases auctions and service lane opportunities.
  • Analyze inventory performance and recommend pricing adjustments.
  • Ensure vehicles are appropriately merchandised and market-ready.
  • Collaborate with sales and used vehicle managers to optimize inventory mix and profitability.
  • Utilize data and market insights to guide inventory decisions.

Qualifications

Preferred Experience

  • Automotive dealership experience required.
  • Experience with used vehicle operations inventory management or sales management preferred.
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as DriveCentric VinSolutions Elead or similar.
  • Experience with vAuto required or strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of lead management and customer follow-up processes.
  • Familiarity with inventory acquisition pricing and merchandising.
