Inventory Operations Manager

Base Salary: $80-$90k

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Operations Manager to lead inbound and outbound inventory operations within a manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate inventory flow efficient material movement strong warehouse discipline and reliable support of production and customer fulfillment.

This position will initially begin on first shift for training process alignment and business familiarization then transition to second shift after the first few months.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily inbound and outbound inventory operations including receiving put-away staging picking shipping and material flow.
• Lead coach and develop warehouse inventory and material handling team members.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts reconciliation root cause analysis and process discipline.
• Partner with production purchasing planning quality and shipping teams to ensure materials are available and moving efficiently.
• Monitor workflow labor utilization shipping priorities and operational bottlenecks.
• Drive continuous improvement in inventory control warehouse organization safety and operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures safety standards quality requirements and documentation practices.
• Support ERP/WMS transactions and ensure timely accurate system updates.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain a clean organized safe and efficient warehouse and inventory operation.

Qualifications

• Prior leadership experience in inventory warehouse materials logistics or operations within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of inbound and outbound inventory processes.
• Experience with inventory accuracy cycle counting material flow shipping receiving and warehouse controls.
• Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution setting.
• Strong problem-solving communication and organizational skills.
• Comfortable using ERP WMS or inventory management systems.
• Ability to work first shift initially and transition to second shift after a few months.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting production operations in a manufacturing environment.
• Lean manufacturing 5S or continuous improvement experience.
• Prior experience leading second-shift operations.
• Forklift material handling or safety compliance experience is a plus.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a hands-on operations leader who understands inventory control warehouse execution and manufacturing support. This person should be comfortable leading from the floor building accountability improving processes and ensuring that inbound and outbound inventory operations run accurately safely and efficiently.
