All about the role:

The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for developing and sustaining best practices that ensure accurate timely and controlled management of inventory across the plant. This role leads a team focused on inventory accuracy discrepancy resolution and cross-functional collaboration while driving continuous improvement in processes reporting and scrap handling.

This position will be based in Springfield TN.

What youll do:

  • Lead coach and develop the Inventory Control team including Inventory Liaisons and Investigators while fostering a culture of accountability safety and continuous improvement.

  • Establish maintain and enforce inventory control policies procedures standard work and governance processes to ensure compliance and operational excellence.

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of inventory transactions reporting and system data within JDE and other inventory management systems.

  • Investigate inventory discrepancies variances and transactional issues using root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations Production Supply Chain Finance Quality and Warehouse teams to improve inventory accuracy and operational performance.

  • Manage scrap processing inventory audits cycle counts and physical inventory activities to ensure timely execution and accurate reporting.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy material flow optimization labor efficiency waste reduction and cost savings.

  • Monitor analyze and report KPI performance including inventory accuracy adjustments scrap transaction compliance and operational efficiency metrics.

  • Develop dashboards reports training materials SOPs and escalation processes using tools such as Excel and Power BI to improve visibility and process consistency.

  • Support internal and external audits lead structured problem-solving efforts and provide data-driven recommendations to strengthen inventory management and business performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in supply chain or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in inventory control manufacturing warehouse operations or supply chain environments.

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience with a proven ability to coach develop and lead high-performing teams.

  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and data analysis tools with JD Edwards (JDE) experience preferred.

  • Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and lookup functions) and working knowledge of Power BI and reporting tools.

  • Demonstrated strengths in data-driven decision making problem solving collaboration communication and attention to detail in a fast-paced operational environment.
