Job Summary

Inventory Control Specialist Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records in SAP/ERP systems.
  • Perform daily inventory transactions including receipts transfers adjustments and material movements.
  • Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory audits to verify inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies shortages overages and location errors.
  • Maintain accurate inventory locations and manage temporary location needs during expansion
  • Coordinate with Warehouse Production Purchasing and Planning teams to resolve inventory disputes/discrepancies
  • Track raw materials work-in-process finished goods and packaging materials.
  • Ensure inventory movements are properly scanned and documented.
  • Maintain accurate records for damaged missing quarantined or rejected materials.
  • Assist with root-cause investigations for recurring inventory discrepancies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy storage practices and material flow.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of inventory control procedures and standard work.
  • Prepare inventory reports and provide information regarding inventory accuracy discrepancies and material availability.
  • Follow company safety procedures and warehouse operating standards.
  • Train employees on proper inventory handling scanning labeling and transaction procedures as needed.
