Job Summary

Summary/Objective:
In this role the Inventory Control Lead is under the Inventory Supervisor/ Inventory Manager. The Inventory Control Lead is responsible for coordinating the activities of inventory control team that include maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle count processes research of inventory discrepancies and supporting with physical inventories using industrial powered equipment (forklift).

  • Directs coordinates and oversees inventory personnel to ensure their time is utilized efficiently to achieve inventory quality sanitation and customer service standards.
  • Reviews and ensures the teams daily forklift safety inspections and equipment is in good standing. And reports any deviations to supervisor/manager.
  • Coordinates monitor conducts physical count of inventory by completing cycle counts in compliance with warehouse standard and customer guidelines
  • Prepare maintain monitor inventory reports
  • Reconciles product in warehouse locations for better space utilization
  • Ensures inventory transactions and stock status reports are completed on a timely basis
  • Research inventory discrepancies and provides root cause analysis
  • Work with management to identify and implement process improvements to help maintain highest possible productivity levels
  • Conduct location audits after receipts are put away to preserve the integrity of the Warehouse Management System
  • Identify and correct discrepancies and reports them to management
  • Monitor warehouse and customer transfers and other transactions for accuracy.
  • Maintain the high standards of safety housekeeping and 5S and retain a clean safe and secure work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.

  • Participates in other duties tasks and projects as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
  • Highschool diploma or general education degree (GED); and one (1) year related experience with inventory/ as an Inventory Clerk/Cycle Counter
  • Experience with shipping receiving and inventory control
  • Communication - written and verbal
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Experience with material handling equipment
