Job Summary
The Inventory Analystcomputes and verifies numerical data for use in maintaining inventory accounting records by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in activities surrounding inventory control accounting and analysis including but not limited to cost control physical count perpetual and general ledger accounting obsolesce and budgeting.
- Assist in identifying reviewing and determining causes of errors regarding vendor direct shipment invoices.
- Extensive follow-up to correct errors which will necessitate verbal and written correspondence with store managers and vendors and changes to computer data files.
- Assist in the review of open transactions via direct interface with the AS400 system and computer-generated reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Two-year degree in accounting or finance with at least 6 months of related experience/training in accounting.
- Ability to use Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint and Outlook.
Ability to read write and comprehend simple instructions correspondence and memos.
Ability to effectively present information one on one and in small group situations.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.
