Job Summary

Inventory Clerk
An Inventory Clerk plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining accurate records of a companys inventory. This position involves tracking organizing and monitoring inventory levels to ensure smooth operations and meet customer demands.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Tracking:
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all items in stock.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile physical counts with system records.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical inventory and system data.
Data Entry and Documentation:
  • Accurately input and update inventory data into the companys inventory management system.
  • Prepare inventory reports and provide regular updates to management and relevant departments.
  • Maintain documentation related to inventory transactions including receiving issuing and returns.
Organization and Maintenance:
  • Organize inventory in a systematic and efficient manner to facilitate easy access and retrieval.
  • Consolidate stock to eliminate parts being stored in multiple locations.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly inventory storage area.
Compliance and Safety:
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols when handling inventory.
  • Comply with company policies procedures and regulatory requirements related to inventory management.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in inventory control or related roles is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Must be able to perform basic math (computational) calculations.
  • Effective communications skills.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects if required.
