Job Summary

Inventory and Kitting Specialists are responsible for inventory management and control of hardware used in assembly operations. These specialists stock items initiate inventory order requests as needed and utilize job order information and work instructions to select count and accurately assign hardware counts per customer FunctionsTo accomplish this job an individual must be able to perform each essential function. Reasonable accommodations may be made to help enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential assembly dispatch lists and creates assembly travelers daily; pulls and issues all hardware & components needed for product assemblyReviews product drawings or blueprints to accurately identify applicable specifications and hardware type/size/materialAccurately stocks incoming inventory into designated locations; as needed performs inventory counts on hardware and assembly componentsCompletes appropriate paperwork and data entry in the ERP system in compliance with internal processes and quality proceduresOperates forklift and other material-handling equipment as required; forklift certification on-site may be requiredMaintains a clean and organized safe work areaFollows directions consistently and accepts responsibility for his/her actions and work productComplies with applicable manufacturing processes work procedures and supervisor instructionsAdheres to safety guidelines and procedures; proactively identifies job hazards and collaborates with leadership to minimize hazards and ensure employee safetyPerforms other duties as assignedRegular attendance on-site at the work site is requiredThis role is identified as requiring ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) compliance; therefore qualified candidates must meet the definition of a U.S. Person (per EAR Part 772 and ITAR 120.15):An individual who is granted U.S. citizenship orAn individual who is granted U.S. permanent residence (i.e. a Green Card holder) orAn individual who is granted status as a protected personRequired Education and Work ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED equivalentA minimum of six (6) months of experience in a warehouse role performing stocking and/or order picking is preferredOther Required Skills and AbilitiesAbility to read and accurately interpret dispatch lists and similar work instructions and to verify counts with 100% accuracyAttention to detail and demonstration of accurate counting measurement and associated recordkeepingAbility to accurately read and record measurements within a 1/4 inch incrementProfessional written and verbal communication skills (English)Consistently legible handwriting (English)Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentTo perform the essential functions of the role employees must be able to perform the following activities with or without reasonable accommodations:Regularly stand and walk throughout the facility and stand for long periods to perform job dutiesRegularly lift carry (short distances) and push/pull up to 50 poundsFrequently climb steps stairs or laddersFrequently bend crawl stoop squat or kneelAccurately distinguish colors letters and numbersUse hands and fingers to manually inspect count and package partsVisual ability to read precise measurements and hardware markings and to recognize and avoid obstacles to safely operate forklifts pallet jacks and other material handling equipment
