Windham Golden Brook School is looking for an Interventionist to cover for the
2026-2027 school year.
Summary
An Interventionist plays a role in supporting school students who are struggling with literacy and/or math skills. This position is responsible for providing targeted intervention and support to help students improve their literacy and math skills ultimately fostering their academic success and confidence as learners.
- Intervention Delivery:
- Provide small-group push-in or pull-out intervention sessions for students identified as needing additional support in literacy and/or math.
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and interventions to target specific areas of need.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students including English language learners and students with disabilities.
- Progress Monitoring:
- Monitor and track students progress regularly through ongoing assessments observations and data analysis.
- Adjust intervention plans based on student progress and response to intervention to ensure continuous improvement and growth.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- As a member of the RTI (Response to Intervention) team interventionists will collaborate with classroom teachers special education staff and other school personnel to coordinate intervention services and support student learning.
- Communicate regularly with classroom teachers to provide updates on student progress discuss intervention strategies and provide resources for supporting literacy and/or math skill development at home.
- Professional Development:
- Stay current with research-based practices and interventions in literacy and/or math instruction.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in literacy/math intervention data analysis and instructional strategies. - Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of intervention sessions assessments and student progress data.
- Prepare progress reports and documentation for intervention plans.
- Classroom Support:
- Provide support to classroom teachers in implementing literacy/math instruction including modeling strategies and providing resources and materials.
- Assist in the selection and implementation of RTI literacy/math curricula materials and resources to support differentiated instruction and student engagement.
- Maintain the Highest Standards of Professionalism:
- Demonstrate positive work habits by showing initiative cooperation dependability efficiency and productivity.
- Follow the guidelines of confidentiality as established by the school district.
- Perform in a professional manner when interacting with students parents faculty administration and co-workers.
- Performs similar or related work as required directed or as the situation dictates.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Education Literacy Mathematics Special Education or a related field; experience working with school-age students in literacy and/or math instruction; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess a valid NH DOE Certification. Elementary Education ESOL English Mathematics Reading Specialist or Math Specialist preferred.
