Penrose-St. Francis Health Services is a full-service 712-bed acute care provider in Colorado Springs comprised of Penrose Hospital St. Francis Hospital and St Francis Hospital - Interquest. St. Francis Hospital opened in 2008 to keep pace with the growing needs of the Colorado Springs community on the north side of the city. St. Francis Hospital features 340-beds and offers a modern Birth Center Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Cancer Center Emergency Department Level III Trauma Center Imaging Services Acute Inpatient Rehab Surgical Services and Critical Care Unit.

It also serves as southern Colorados home base for the Flight For Life Colorado air medical transport service.

The Interventional Radiology Tech provides quality patient care to all patients within the medical imaging department and perform high quality images and exams on patients while maintaining the sensitivity to patient needs. This role follows standards of safe radiation practice and demonstrates leadership abilities and is a role model for other associate technologists while also acting as a clinical resource to the unit personnel and assures current standards of practice for the unit.

Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day qualified candidates will need the following:

  • One year imaging experience strongly preferred
  • HS/GED required
  • Associates degreestrongly preferred
  • Registered Technologist Radiology R.T. (R)(ARRT) required
    • Registered Technologist Radiology Vascular-Interventional Radiology or Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiology - R.T. (R)(VI)(ARRT) or R.T. (R)(CV)(ARRT) preferred
  • Colorado Surgical Assistant License upon hire unless performing Surgical Assistant duties within the scope of another active Colorado license certification or registration (required for Colorado employed staff only)
  • Basic Life Support through American Heart Association required
  • ACLS through American Heart Association preferred

Physical RequirementsMedium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally and/or up to 20lbs frequently and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
