A respected Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is seeking an Assistant Medical Director Internal Medicine to join its leadership team in Albuquerque New Mexico located about one hour from Santa Fe.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $285000
• Up to 15% annual performance bonus
• $3000 quarterly leadership stipend for each Pharmacist and Physician Assistant supervised
• 5 weeks (200 hours) PTO

Position Highlights

• 50% clinical practice / 50% leadership and administrative responsibilities
• Reports directly to the Chief Medical Officer
• Average of 2.6 patients per clinical hour
• Athena EMR across all clinic locations

• This role combines direct patient care with physician leadership. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive primary care overseeing 4 Physicians 7 Nurse Practitioners and 2 Physician Assistants monitoring provider productivity partnering with the CMO to improve clinical workflows and operations and coordinating provider schedules and coverage. The organization provides Primary Care HIV and Hepatitis C treatment Behavioral Health and Pharmacy services. Providers share call responsibilities averaging 14 calls per month with nurse triage handling initial calls. Typical patient panels range from patients adjusted for the physicians 50% clinical allocation.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
• Primary care physician with an interest in clinical leadership
• Eligible to obtain or maintain an active New Mexico Medical License
