ABOUT STAR
STAR is a minimum security community based correctional facility (CBCF) located in Franklin Furnace Ohio. The facility first broke ground January 5 2000 and strives to further its mission of public safety by providing a safe alternative to prison for nonviolent felony offenders. STAR serves nine of the surrounding counties including Adams Brown Clinton Highland Lawrence Pike Pickaway Ross and Scioto.
STARs Mission
Our mission is to enhance public safety by providing the four phases of residential treatment.
STRUCTURE - through close management of offender time energy and movement.
THERAPY - as the focus of intensive individualized educational vocational chemical dependency programming.
ADVOCACY - for all the Community Justice stakeholders.
RESTORATION - as a result of our synergy.
