Intern Fleet Corporate Sales

EquipmentShare is searching for a student intern to join the Fleet Sales Team at our Home Office in Columbia MO for the Fall of 2026 (October Mid-December).

This internship is designed to give students hands-on experience in equipment sales operations order management and process improvement. During the 1012 week program the intern will support the Corporate Sales team by preparing new equipment retail quotes maintaining the order board tracking orders through the sales cycle and contributing to a meaningful process improvement project.

• • Type new equipment retail quotes based on information provided by the manager.
  • Maintain and update the order board to ensure orders are accurately documented and current.
  • Track orders from initial quote through the ordering process and identify items requiring follow-up.
  • Communicate order updates questions and outstanding items to the appropriate sales representatives.
  • Identify common errors or bottlenecks in the quote-to-order workflow and recommend improvements.
  • Develop standardized quote and order checklists to improve accuracy and consistency.
  • Create a process for tracking outstanding information and follow-ups across active orders.
  Capstone Project: Quote-to-Order Process Evaluation

  The intern will evaluate and improve the current new equipment quote-to-order process. The final deliverable will include:

  • Process Documentation A clear map of how a quote moves from the sales representative through pricing quote creation customer approval and order entry.
  • Bottleneck Analysis Identification of common errors delays and inefficiencies in the current workflow.
  • Board Review Recommendations to improve the structure and usability of the order tracking board.
  • Standardized Checklists Quote and order checklists to reduce errors and improve turnaround time.
  • Follow-Up Tracking Process A system for managing outstanding information and keeping orders moving.
  • Recommendations Practical suggestions to improve quote accuracy turnaround time and order visibility.

Flexible work schedule but prefer Monday Friday between 8am 5pm.

What Youre Working With:

• • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a college program; business-related field preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail accuracy in quoting and order entry is critical.
  • Excellent organization and time management; ability to manage multiple active orders and priorities simultaneously.
  • Professional written communication skills; comfortable corresponding with sales representatives and internal teams.
  • Strong computer skills; ability to quickly learn and navigate internal systems and tools.
  • Comfortable working in or similar project management and order tracking platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
