If you love education travel and making the world a better place this might be your dream internship. The Road Scholar Design team is seeking an Email Design Intern to join us for fall 2026.

Road Scholar offers a remote internship for the Fall semester starting Tuesday September 8 2026 - Friday Decemberhours per week. Applications will be accepted through July 16 2026.

In this internship you will...

As our teams email design intern you will be working with a close-knit group of designers writers and marketing stakeholders to assist in the production of our email calendar. You will be responsible for designing and building email campaigns through the use of our CRM platform Braze. As well as assisting in an image update project for photos used in email and web collections. Your work will support our mission and inspire our consumers to learn discover and travel with Road Scholar.

What youll do...

  • Design/build edit and launch 3-4 emails campaign proofs per week using established drag-and-drop templates
  • Select edit and update photos for use in email campaigns and web collections
  • Transform manuscripts into polished and digestible enews content using Road Scholars existing brand guidelines
  • Provide creative support to and take direction from senior designers in producing high-quality digital assets for email and more.
  • Present your work to marketing leadership at the end of your internship

    What you will learn or practice...

    • Hone your design skills as you create digital assets for email and web collections.
    • Gain a strong understanding of the email design production process in a marketing context and environment and learn the nuances of an in-house design team
    • Strengthen your problem-solving skills as you practice thinking on your feet in a design setting
    • How to strategize conceptualize and execute creative testing campaigns

    You may be perfect for this internship opportunity if you are...

    • Junior or Senior at an accredited college or university
    • The freedom to work 20 hours/week for 14-16 weeks (September - December 2026) - working remote
    • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software including Photoshop and Illustrator.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment take and implement feedback and prioritize work
    • An interest in clean typography with an emphasis on user experience and accessibility
    • A willingness to learn and enthusiasm to help wherever you can
    • An online or digital portfolio (ok to include college work)
    • Preferred: experience with HTML/CSS
    • Preferred: majoring in digital design illustration web or UX design or another related field

          Internship Details...

          This 14-16 week internship runs during the Fall semester between September 8 2026 and December 18 2026 with some flexibility depending on your school schedule. The internship is remote 20 hours/week with flexible weekly schedule during business hours. A flat stipend of $3840.00 is paid for this internship. The stipend is paid at 50% halfway through the internship and the other 50% after successful completion of the internship. College credit where applicable.
