Interior Designer, Décor Direct

Decor Direct Interiors is seeking a creative motivated and client focused Interior Designer to join our growing design team. As a subsidiary of Schell Brothers Decor Direct works closely with homeowners to transform their new house into a home through personalized interior design services furnishings window treatments lighting wallcoverings rugs and more. This position combines interior design expertise relationship building project organization and sales. The ideal candidate is highly creative organized comfortable managing multiple clients and projects simultaneously and passionate about creating an exceptional client experience.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Conduct Virtual and In person design consultations to understand each clients lifestyle aesthetic functional needs budget and project goals.

Build strong trusted relationships with homeowners throughout the design and sales process.

Maintain consistent and timely communication with clients throughout the design process.

Proactively follow up on open proposals pending selections and clients awaiting payment and decisions.

Deliver a high level of customer service that reflects the Decor Direct and Schell Brothers experience.

Create lookbooks and space plans that consider scale proportion functionality.

Continuous knowledge of current industry trends products materials vendors and resources.

Guide Clients towards selections that align with their design goals and budget while support Decor Directs sales and profitability objectives.

Collaborate with the Sales Administrator and Production Team to ensure complete and accurate project handoff after sale acceptance.

Attend client deliveries

Required Skills:

Customer service minded

Previous interior design residential design furniture or home furnishings experience preferred

Strong understanding of space planning

Strong presentation and consultative skills

Ability to manage multiple projects deadlines and client relationships simultaneously

Comfortable learning and utilizing CRM Sales proposal and project management softwares.

Self motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment

Must be self-directed have excellent initiative and organizational skills

Excellent verbal and written communications

Familiar with the following software programs is a bonus:

Acumatica

Zoho CRM

Floorplanner

Google Applications including Gmail Sheets Slides and Drive

Microsoft applications including Word Excel Powerpoint
