Job Summary:
Therole of an InterimDevelopment Advisoris toserve as a strategic consultant providing hands-on coachingand trusted thought partner to organizational leadership supporting the advancement of fundraising donor engagement and philanthropic growth initiatives within anon-profitandfederally qualified health position works closely with the Director of Developmentand Communicationsand Chief Executive Officer(CEO)to strengthen development operations build fundraising infrastructure enhance donor stewardship practices and support long-term organizational sustainability. This role willprovide mentorship strategic guidance and operational support to help advance the organizations mission of deliveringequitableand accessible healthcare services to underserved communities.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree inManagement Business Administration Communications Public Administration Healthcare Administrationor of education and relevant professional experience may be considered.
A minimumoffive (5)years of progressive experience in nonprofit development fundraising strategy donor relations philanthropy or healthcare advancementisrequired.
Experience working within a nonprofit organization healthcare system or federally qualified health centerisstrongly preferred.
Provenrecord of accomplishmentin grant writing fund development and capital campaign activities.
Excellent business and social communication skills both written and verbal withexcellent writing editing and proofreading skills.
Demonstrated experience supporting executive leadership development strategy and major donor cultivation initiatives preferred.
Experience mentoring oradvisingfundraising and development professionals to think strategically and execute deliverables.
Strong knowledge of nonprofit fundraising principles donor stewardship practices and development operations.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and sustain relationships withstakeholdersand leaders.
Experience developing fundraising strategies donor pipelines and performance metrics.
Excellentcoachingand relationship-building skills.
Ability to effectively engage and collaborate withdiversestakeholders andbuildpositiveworking relationships.
Experience supporting capital campaigns majorgiftsfundraising or healthcare philanthropy initiatives.
Familiarity with grant development and nonprofit compliance requirements.
Experience with non-profit organizations and familiarity with the Tri-Valley area is desired.
Bilingual skills preferred depending on community needs.
Mustpossessa valid and current drivers license with reliable transportation a clean drivingrecordand automobile insurance isrequired.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Serve as a trusted coach mentor and thought partner to the Director of Development supporting professional growth leadership development and confidence in the role.
Collaborate with leadership to co-develop and implement a comprehensive 12-month development plan including fundraising goals donor engagement strategies timelines and measurable key performance indicators (KPIs).
Providestrategic guidanceregardingfundraising priorities donor outreach initiatives and philanthropic growth opportunities aligned with organizational goals.
Provide guidance on donor identification cultivation solicitation and stewardship efforts with a strong focus onestablishingand expanding a major gifts pipeline.
Assistin strengthening donor relationship management practices andestablishingeffective moves management strategies.
Support the Director of Development inpreparing fordonor meetings stakeholder presentations community partnership discussions and fundraising engagements.
Report progress observations and strategic recommendations directly to the CEO while serving as asoundingboard ondevelopmentleadership and organizational advancement strategies.
Helpidentifyopportunities to diversify funding streams through individual giving sponsorships grants and community partnerships.
Collaborate on fundraising campaigns donor appreciation initiatives and community engagement activities.
Assistinestablishingdevelopment systems operational processes and fundraising best practices to support long-term sustainability and organizational growth.
Monitor fundraising progress donor engagement metrics and development outcomes to support informed decision-making.
Prepare reports strategic updates presentations and recommendations for executive leadership and board stakeholders as needed.
Promote the mission vision and values of the organization through strategic relationship-building and community engagement.
Ensure compliance with nonprofit fundraising standards ethical guidelines and organizational policies.
Drive to other sites and locationsattendingevents asneededandto performjob duties or support organizational operations.
Participate in staffmeetings andattend other meetings and training events as assigned.
May berequiredto perform other related duties responsibilities and special projects as assigned.
Additional Information:
This is a temporary position with an expected duration of two to three months. Employment is expected to conclude at the end of the assignment unless extended based on organizational needs or by mutual agreement. However this position is at-will and the duration of employment may be modified or ended at any time with or without notice in accordance with applicable law.

Work is normally performed in a typical clinic office work environment (and in some cases telecommuting sites).
