Integrated Workplace Management Systems Administrator

Position Summary
The Integrated Workplace Management Systems Administrator functions as a key member of the Integrated Workplace Management Systems ( IWMS ) team and as the project manager responsible for all aspects of the Space Planning and Occupancy Tracking System ( SPOTS ) to provide systems administration for the Archibus Software platform. Responsibilities include design testing development and implementation of upgrades to the IWMS system. Provides system related desktop support for application users. Provides technical and advisory services collaboratively to the IWMS team and the campus stakeholders including matters related to designing reports custom solutions data reporting and compliance. The primary focus is to acquire in-depth understanding of business processes and information systems currently utilized and identify unaddressed business needs. Develop improved requirements and procedures necessary for the implementation of new modules integration with existing systems staff training and coordinating activities between system users and supporting departments including the Information Technology Services and other impacted departments. Work includes developing requirement specifications for new projects and working with the business partners through development testing and final implementation. Responsibilities include: * Verifying that the physical infrastructure currently in place is adequate and appropriate and making changes as necessary after scope and costs are fully developed. * General maintenance of database tables queries and reports. * Periodically maintaining or adding floorplan layers Import/Export of CAD drawing and troubleshooting CAD related space issues. * Integration with other University applications including business systems GIS and CMMS . * Integrating third party reporting software to enhance reporting capabilities when mining the database for specific information. * Customization of web-portals branding forms & fields and email communication to end users. * Training users to access the web-portals and various modules. * User acceptance testing. * Troubleshooting system inquiries. * Creating and executing implementation processes to rollout IWMS throughout the organization. * Working with the Network/Server Administrator/Data System team to continually expand share and improve departmental skillset.

Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
* Proficiency with all supported versions of Microsoft SQL Server Database software Microsoft Access database software Microsoft Excel and HTML . * Experience with integrated workplace management systems and/or computer aided facility management software such as Archibus or another IWMS tool. * Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office including the ability to apply other project management tools. * High level of interpersonal skills in order to deal effectively and persuasively with all levels of an organization. * Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize complex tasks. * Ability to manage and simultaneously coordinate high-priority short and long-term projects. * High proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server including table structure and query design. * Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with staff customers consultants and contractors. Ability to work independently on tasks as well as collaboratively in a team setting to prioritize work. * Ability to shift between tasks and respond to escalated and emergency issues. Strong analytical problem solving communication and organizational skills. * Ability to work in a dynamic flexible and collaborative environment. * A valid NC Drivers License or ability to obtain one prior to start date.

Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or Architecture with five years of progressive experience in IWMS systems administration or a masters degree with two years of experience. Proficiency in working with Archibus software.
