Job Description

• Handle insurance defense and civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings motions briefs correspondence reports and other litigation documents.
• Manage discovery including document review written discovery and discovery-related motions.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions hearings mediations and settlement negotiations.
• Evaluate liability damages and litigation risks and assist with developing case strategy.
• Communicate with clients insurance carriers claims professionals opposing counsel and other stakeholders.
• Assist with cases involving negligence premises liability motor vehicle accidents professional malpractice construction litigation and related defense matters.
• Maintain accurate case files deadlines and reporting requirements.
• Work closely with senior attorneys and the broader legal team to advance matters efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications

• 2 years of litigation experience.
• At least 1 year of defense negligence and/or insurance defense experience.
• Active New York bar admission in good standing.
• Experience with discovery legal research and motion practice.
• Strong legal writing analytical communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong judgment and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated commitment to providing responsive high-quality client service.
