Job Description:

SUMMARY

Provides instructional trainingrelated to the non-credit bearing Manufacturing Skills Standards Council (MSSC)Supply Chain Logistics and Warehouse program. The instructor will providequality instruction to students while pursing and maintaining current awarenessof the developments and trends in supply chain management that will preparestudents for the workforce and ensures the instruction provided supports theColleges mission.

ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS

• Responsible for providing instruction and preparing lesson plans based on established curriculum
  
• Instructs and guides the class in an efficient and effective manner
  
• Continually promotes students development and effective use of skills in areas such as critical and analytical thinking evaluation communication professionalism customer service computation problem solving and decision-making
  
• Maintains accurate up-to-date records of student academic and attendance performance
  
• Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATIONAND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

• MSSC Certified Logistics Technician (CLA & CLT) Instructor certificate.
  
• Bachelors Degree in a related supply chain discipline or related business field
  
  • Significant related experience may substitute for education
    
• Minimum of five years of experience in the related field

• Ability to use a wide variety of teaching methods to promote learning
  
• Advanced communication (verbal written and interpersonal) and organizational skills
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent)

However there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers files pamphlets books etc.;
  
• Work may also require walking and standing in conjunction with travel to and attendance at meetings classes and conferences away from the worksite

Set-Rate Non-Bargaining Part-Time Position:This is a Part-Time Non-Bargaining Unit Position with the following Set Rate of Pay: $35.00/ hour.
