The Instructor is responsible for functions related to teaching psychology courses at the undergraduate level. Other responsibilities include advising undergraduate students; supervising or collaborating with student researchers; engaging in community and/or university service; contributing to departmental assessment reports; holding regular on-campus office hours; and assisting the department head with curriculum and instruction revisions as needed. The Instructor of Psychology will work closely with full-time faculty in the Department of Psychology and Counseling.

Required: Masters Degree in Psychology (General or Experimental preferred but other concentrations and specializations will be considered); Highly qualified to teach a variety of subject areas including Introduction to Psychology Child Psychology and/or Life Span Development Research Methods (including Senior Thesis supervision) and one or more specialized upper-division areas (e.g. Abnormal Social Cognitive Learning Physiological and/or Gender Psychology); A minimum of one year of teaching experience at the university level both online and face-to-face courses with satisfactory student evaluations (4.0 or higher on a 5-point scale each semester); Leadership or mentoring experience working with university students (i.e. student organizations service activities); Direct supervision of and involvement with student research (including collaborative research planning & implementation); Experience with Canvas LMS platform and online course management; Evidence of training in research ethics (certificate should be included with application materials); Working knowledge of basic statistical analyses and APA format 7^th edition (samples may be requested)

Preferred:Experience with scheduling and managing research sessions (virtual and face-to-face); Mentoring experience; Community service experience related to psychology/mental health and willingness to contribute in this area with Department or Departmental Clinics; Evidence of collegiality with coworkers supervisors and others in a university setting (or similar environment)
