Responsibilitiesmayincludeteachingnonmajors courses (such asenvironmental science and human biology)introductory and advancedbiologycoursesfor majorsdevelopinganupper-levelelective course inyourarea ofexpertiseadvisingbiology majors and service to the department school and university.Successful candidateswill have a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence.

AM.S. in Biology or a closely related field is and aPh.D. inbiologyor aclosely relatedfield ispreferred.ABD would be considered.

The position includesofficespace in ourstate-of-the-artsciencebuildingwhich houses theDepartments of Biology ChemistryNeuroscienceand Physics in theWanek School of Natural Sciences.The Biology Departmentoffers majors and minors in Biologyand serves the University more broadly by providing courses for the general education and honors curricula. Biology courses serve as foundational elementsofapplied and health science degrees at High Point University.
