Founded in 1971 and situated in the greater Las Vegas metropolitan area the College of Southern Nevada is the most ethnically diverse college in Nevada and the first to receive the HSI designation. • Teach courses that prepare students for certifications in Linux Microsoft technologies Cisco CCNA 1 2 3 and CompTIA Network.

• Teach entry-level courses in networking.

• Deliver courses in both classroom and online formats.

• Be available to teach morning afternoon or evening classes as well as weekdays or weekends.

• Courses may be taught across multiple CSN campuses.

Faculty members are expected to contribute to program leadership in a variety of ways leadership may include but not be limited to any of the following:

• Oversee course scheduling within subject areas.

• Manage specialty labs and classrooms.

• Collaborate with faculty on course development and course resourceselection.

• Collaborate with department leadership and faculty to enhance academic programs.

• Participate indepartmentand college committees.

• Participate in student assistance and advising.

• Participate in college services activities.

• Participate in professional development activities.

Required Qualifications

• A Bachelors degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a major or minor in Computer Science Computer Information Systems Engineering or any IT related degrees; OR a bachelors degree in any discipline combined with substantial IT industry experience.

• 2 years of teaching experience in higher education or K-12.
