Position Summary
The GISD Instructor for Medium/Heavy Truck Technicianis responsible forleading the instructional program and implementing activities for high school students working toward careers inmedium/heavy instructoris responsible formeeting the unique needs of the students assigned to the program and prepares students for careers in medium/heavy truck technician professions.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Associates degree or higher Standard CTE Certificate Professional CTE Certificate or eligible foran Annual Career Authorizationwith a minimumof 4000recent and relevant hours of work experience in the field within the pastten (10) Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications in brakes steering and suspension electrical and preventive maintenance and repair.
Experience:A minimum of 4000 recent and relevant hours of work experience in the field within the past ten (10) years.
Skills/Other:Demonstratesappropriate teachingstrategies for all an understanding of adolescent developmental a commitment to Genesee Intermediate SchoolDistrictmission purpose beliefstatementsand learning a strong working knowledge of subject matter and current research on high levelof skill in developing stimulating student assignments and varied student assessment vehicles. Possesses an ability to develop and reinforce a positive self-concept in each interpersonal self-control mature judgment congeniality and ethical standards in all working to communicate effectively both orally and in written communications. Demonstratesappropriate teachingstrategies fordiversestudent population. Ability toutilizedistrict technology and work tomaintainproficiency as skill sets change with technology and/or the needs of the to assess anddeterminetheappropriate useof a variety of student assessment stamina necessary for lifting and moving heavy equipment and materials repetitive stooping squatting bending lifting walkingkneelingand reaching whilemaintainingpersonal balance and and good attendance arerequirements for the to work a flexible workday work week and work honesty integrity and professionalism at all to exercise good judgment and make decisionsin accordance withboard policies andestablishedadministrative guidelines.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range:$38372 - $56690 annually commensurate with experience and qualifications
Work Schedule: 186 days / 7 hours daily
Paid Time Off:
- Sick and Personal Business paid time up to 13 days
