Establish course-development timelines and milestones.
Refine lesson narration scripts provided by the SME.
Convert approved distance-learning lesson plans into interactive lesson modules podcasts and videos.
Within the JSOU-designated Learning Management System:
Upload banners.
Create modules.
Create content links within course pages.
Beta-test completed courses.
Revise learning objectives and lessons based on LMS beta-test results and subject-matter review.
Upload and curate course content in the JSOU LMS.
Using Storyline:
Design and build IMIs and other content.
Schedule audio recording.
Synchronize audio with IMI video.
Schedule and provide an in-progress review every 30 days to report the status of the assigned course.
Review instructional media lesson decks and graphics for clarity and alignment with course or program learning objectives.
Remedy LMS problems involving IMI malfunctions broken links content viewing and related issues.
Assist with course-content updates as required.
Attend Education Requirements Boards and departmental reviews for assigned courses when requested.
Minimum KSAs
SECRET clearance required.
BA/BS required with demonstrated study related to:
Learning theory;
Instructional-design practices;
Educational evaluation; and
Instructional-product development.
Alternatively two years of instructional-design or related experience focused on the development phase of the instructional-design process.
Two years of experience using personal computers and relevant software including:
Adobe Captivate;
Articulate Storyline;
Adobe Creative Cloud Suite; and
Microsoft Office Suite.
Two years of experience providing subject-matter expertise in applying the Instructional Systems Design model to in-residence and distance-learning courses
