Position Summary:

Liberal Public Schools is seeking an innovative collaborative and student-centered Instructional Coach to support teachers in strengthening instructional practices and improving student achievement. The ideal candidate is a highly effective educator with a passion for adult learning coaching and continuous improvement.

The Instructional Coach partners with teachers administrators and district leaders to implement research-based instructional strategies analyze student data support curriculum implementation and build teacher capacity through job-embedded professional learning.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Build collaborative coaching relationships with teachers.
  • Support implementation of district curriculum and Kansas standards.
  • Model research-based instructional strategies.
  • Analyze student data to guide instructional improvement.
  • Facilitate professional learning for teachers and teams.
  • Support MTSS differentiated instruction and evidence-based practices.
  • Collaborate with administrators and instructional staff.
  • Assist teachers with technology integration.
  • Promote positive learning environments.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Support school improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid Kansas Teaching License.
  • Demonstrated successful classroom teaching experience.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum assessment and instructional practices.
  • Excellent communication collaboration organization and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Education or related field.
  • Experience as a teacher leader or instructional coach.
  • Knowledge of the Literacy First Framework.
  • Experience facilitating professional development.
  • Experience using student achievement data to improve instruction.
  • ESOL Endorsement preferred ($500 annual stipend for Kansas ESOL licensed employees).
  • Experience supporting MTSS and PLCs.
Physical Requirements:

The employee must be able to move throughout the school building stand walk bend reach and occasionally lift instructional materials. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Work Environment:

Work is performed primarily in classrooms and school settings with frequent collaboration among teachers administrators students and families. The work environment typically includes a moderate noise level and may involve travel between district buildings.

Terms of Employment:

Salary benefits and work calendar are established in accordance with the negotiated Professional Agreement and approved by the USD 480 Board of Education.

Evaluation:

Performance will be evaluated in accordance with the policies and procedures established by the USD 480 Board of Education.
