Job Summary

POSITION: Institutional Technology Administrative Secretary Part-Time

DESCRIPTION: Responsible for supporting ETBU IT department as Administrative Secretary which includes some basic technical and administrative position receives direction from and reports directly to the Director of Institutional Technology.

REQUIREMENTS: Education/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors degree preferred.
Special Knowledge/Skills: Must be familiar with various computer software programs including Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook.
Use of standard office equipment - copier printer scanner.
Ability to use computer software such as Microsoft Office programs in Word Excel Outlook Access PowerPoint and other programs such as POISE and Adobe Acrobat.
Attention to detail for recording and compiling data.
Effective interpersonal skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Must have and maintain a valid drivers license.

Experience: Secretarial experience in a multi-person office is desired. Very strong organizational skills required. Demonstrated office and communication skills are essential.

Employee shall be cognizant and committed to the values traditions and history of Baptists. Employee agrees that he or she is an active member of a local Baptist church or Christian denominational church and regularly attends church. Further as a servant leader and role model for the students of ETBU employee is required to participate in the life of the University via institutional meetings Chapel services prayer emphases discipleship programming committee participation local community ministry/service and campus activities and events. Employee provides active support of the spiritual intellectual and educational ideals values activities and objectives of East Texas Baptist University; and conforms to Christian standards of faith and service.
