Job Summary

Duval Ford Fleet is seeking experienced Installers to perform vehicle outfitting and up-fitting services. Duval Fleet specializes in turn-key government and fleet vehicles that support public safety and utility operations. Upfits can range from police cars to van shelving packages truck equipment and more.

Essential Duties include but are not limited to:

The installation of equipment which includes: Emergency lighting Speakers Controllers Bumpers Prisoner cages Van shelves & bulkheads Truck equipment Work lights and more.

  • Create and integrate intricate wiring for lights sirens and specialized equipment ensuring compliance with industry standards like EVT and NFPA.
  • Follow instructions and guidelines from equipment manufacturers Ford and shop standards.
  • Upfitting to the desired specifications of the customer by ensuring functionality safety and reliability.
  • Using various materials to create and fabricate solutions to problems and needs.

Requirements:

The Installer must be able to perform physically demanding tasks that may require accessing confined spaces.

Minimum of 2 years of experience is desired but not required

Attention to detail and quality

Willing to learn and improve

Knowledge of 12v wiring circuits

Able to use hand and power tools

Experience w/ installation of emergency lighting desired but not required. Transferable skills from work in automotive marine motorsports or aerospace is a plus

Able to communicate well with others

Be prompt and prepared to work

Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) is desired but not required
