Inspector-Packing

Essential Duties and Tasks

• Safely Operate equipment as needed including but not limited to motorized forklift with various attachments (clamp fork probe) packaging/wrapping machinery label equipment banders gluers etc.
• Ability to receive and maintain equipment certification if applicable.
• Accurately Read and follow instructions.
• Inspect material to ensure customer specifications have been met.
• Package outgoing materials to meet customer specifications and internal protocols.
• Move material within facility according to protocol may include weighing scanning stacking transporting & arranging.
• Keep work and surrounding areas organized by meeting housekeeping storage staging and cleanliness requirements.
• Verification and tracking of all material moved including quantity size and packaging.
• Complete all necessary documents for internal or external use.
• Works with supervision.
• Maybe required to work in multiple areas or with multiple teams.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Education and Experience

• Prior equipment shipping receiving or warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions correspondence and work orders.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to add subtract multiply and divide units of measure.
• Solid working knowledge of warehouse processes and related manufacturing.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook) email and calendar capabilities.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.

This role will regularly use plant machinery which certification may be required. This role routinely works around moving equipment. May need to get on and off equipment stairs this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers filing cabinets and fax machines. Employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to type hold handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
