Posimech is an AS9100/ISO9001 Certified HighMix/LowVolume Precision Machine Shop with over 45 years of continuous operation. We are a topperforming supplier supporting major military aircraft platforms groundsupport systems Boeing Airbus and emerging SpaceXrelated programs.
We are seeking a qualified hands-on strategic Inspection Manager to lead our quality team safeguard our zero-defect culture and ensure our machined parts meet the exacting standards of our OEM customers.
The Role:
As the Inspection Manager you will oversee all in-process and final inspection operations ensuring strict compliance with AS9100 standards and customer blueprints. You will lead a team of QC inspectors manage First Article Inspections (FAIs) and serve as the primary floor resource for GD&T and CMM programming verification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise train and mentor our team of quality inspectors across all shifts.
- Compliance & QMS: Maintain and enforce our ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality management systems.
- Inspection Oversight: Personally step onto the floor to perform or assist with First Article Inspections (FAIs) and complex final inspections.
- Root Cause Analysis: Lead Material Review Board (MRB) activities oversee non-conforming materials and drive Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Equipment Mastery: Oversee the calibration of precision measurement tools and CMM programming/operation.
- Must have experience using at least these measuring methods
- Zeiss CMM
- Micrometers
- Calipers
- Height gages
- Precision Bore Gages
- Rockwell Hardness testers
- Niko Vision System
- Thread Gages
What It Takes to Win:
- Experience: 5 years of quality control management or supervisory experience in a precision CNC machine shop environment.
- Technical Mastery: Advanced blueprint reading deep understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and proficiency in operating/programming CMM equipment.
- Certifications: Working knowledge of AS9100 Rev. D requirements and standards.
- Compliance Mindset: Experience handling customer source inspections FAIR documentation and supplier quality requirements.
