Job Summary

We are currently seeking an Inside Sales for a Japanese electrical component distributor.

  • Working hours: 8:0016:30 (Monday-Friday)
  • Location: Irving TX (A hybrid work arrangement will be available after the probationary period. Wednesdays are designated as remote work days.)

SUMMARY

Support sales activity under Sales Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Communicate with customers and vendors getting orders answering questions responding to complaints resolving problems issuing quotes etc.
  • Communicate with other staff proceeding with the above activity.
  • Enters data into the operation system as needed.
  • Complete various reports related to sales shipping and raw materials.
  • Check customers EDI (Electronic Data Interchanges) files and take proper action from them.
  • Ensure that Hayakawa backlog matches customers open purchase orders.
  • Coordinate month-end activities for the above departments.
  • Review sales orders and invoices for accuracy.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure good communication to meet customer expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Two years of college or associates degree; or six months to one-year related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SKILLS

  • Language skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals correspondence agreements instructions sales orders freight documents etc. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to customers vendors or employees of the organization in Japanese and English.
  • Mathematical skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interest proportions and percentages.
  • Other skills: Must have computer skills. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office without difficulty.
  • Reasoning ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.
