SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. The Inside Sales Intern will support the Sales Engineering team in providing technicalassistance sales support and customer engagement activities. This internship offers a hands-on learning opportunity for students or recent graduates interested in sales engineering product knowledge and customer solutions. You will gain practical experience working alongside Inside Sales Engineers to analyze customer specificationsassistin preparing quotations and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver value-driven results.

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX your core responsibilities will be:

1. Sales Support and Data Analysis

• Assistin preparing quotations and pricing proposals based on customer specifications and engineering data.

• Analyze customer and market data toidentifytrends patterns and opportunities for sales growth.

• Support the creation of sales reports and dashboards;proficiencyin Microsoft Excelrequired PowerBIa plus.

1. Technical Collaboration

• Shadow Inside Sales Engineers to learn how to interpret blueprints technical drawings and specifications.

• Participate in meetings with engineering manufacturing and quality teams to understand product design applications and customer requirements.

• Learn to provide basic technical support and communicate effectively with customers on standard product features.

1. Customer Interaction

• Observe andparticipatein customer calls to understand relationship management and sales communication best practices.

• Assistwith follow-ups on quotations project timelines and technical clarifications.

1. Project and Team Support

• Collaborate with team members on special projects to improve the quoting process or enhance customer response time.

• Contribute tointernal documentation and process updates that support the Inside Sales function.

What we are looking for (Experience Knowledge Skills Abilities Education)

We each bring something to the table and we are looking for someone who has:

Required Experience

• Currently pursuing or recentlycompleteda degree in Engineering Business Industrial Technology ora relatedfield.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experiencewith Power BI is preferred but notrequired.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical information.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a desire to learn technical sales concepts.

• Access to Microsoft Teams with video capabilities.

• Willing to travel up to 10% toobserveplant processes and gather insights.

Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Interestin technical sales sales engineering or product management.

• Familiarity with blueprints technical drawings or CAD systems is a plus.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment.

Education & Certifications

• Currently pursuing or recentlycompletedabachelors degree in Engineering(Mechanical Electrical or Industrial) Business ora relatedtechnical discipline.

Travel & Working Environment

• Hybrid work environment with 2-3 days inoffice.
