Duration: 26 Weeks
Shift: Nights (8:00 PM 6:30 AM) 7 On / 7 Off Schedule
We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist for a 26-week travel assignment at a pediatric-focused acute care facility and Level II trauma center. This role begins on a night shift schedule and will transition to day shifts later in the assignment to provide extended coverage.
- 7 On / 7 Off block schedule
- Night shift initially with transition to day shift expected
- Assignment extends to support coverage through early 2027
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- No floating between units
- 48-hour work schedules are not approved
- Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness
- Prepare and dispense medications safely in an inpatient setting
- Collaborate with physicians nurses and interdisciplinary teams
- Monitor patient medication therapy and outcomes
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies safety standards and regulatory guidelines
- Maintain accurate pharmacy documentation
- Active Texas Pharmacist License required
- First-time travelers are welcome
- Prior inpatient hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills required
- Pediatric-focused hospital and Level II trauma center
