Job Summary

Compensation:
  • Traveler: $70 $74/hour
Schedule:
  • Shift: Day / Night Rotation
  • Hours: 40 hours/week (4x10-hour shifts)
  • Timings:
    • Day: 07:00 AM 05:00 PM
    • Night: 10:00 PM 08:00 AM
  • Weekend Requirement: Yes (Day coverage)
  • On-Call Requirement: Yes (overnight coverage as needed)
Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Inpatient Pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care in a hospital setting including occasional Operating Room (OR) support. This role focuses on medication safety clinical pharmacotherapy and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify and process inpatient medication orders for accuracy and safety
  • Provide clinical pharmacotherapy support to physicians and care teams
  • Monitor drug therapies and recommend evidence-based adjustments
  • Ensure proper dosing drug interactions and therapeutic outcomes
  • Support inpatient pharmacy operations and workflow efficiency
  • Provide weekend and overnight coverage as required
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Utilize EMR systems for medication management and documentation
  • Support medication safety initiatives and pharmacy protocols
  • Respond to urgent medication-related clinical needs
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and clinical standards
Required Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent
  • Active Pharmacist License (state-specific or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced high-acuity hospital environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in inpatient hospital pharmacy settings
  • Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g. Epic)
  • Experience supporting OR or critical care environments
Work Environment:
  • Onsite hospital-based setting
  • Collaborative interdisciplinary care team
  • Dynamic environment supporting inpatient and procedural care
Additional Information:
  • Hospital setting with critical access and trauma care exposure
