Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist for an 8-week travel assignment in Hood River Oregon. This short-term opportunity offers a consistent block schedule and the chance to work in an acute care hospital environment supporting inpatient and emergency department services. First-time travel pharmacists are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review verify and dispense inpatient medication orders.
  • Prepare and oversee sterile IV medications TPNs and emergency medications.
  • Ensure compliance with USP standards and medication safety protocols.
  • Support emergency department and acute care patient needs.
  • Collaborate with physicians nurses and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Provide clinical consultation regarding medication dosing interactions and therapeutic recommendations.
  • Utilize Epic EMR for order verification documentation and provider communication.
  • Maintain accurate pharmacy records and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in overnight on-call coverage as required.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Oregon Pharmacist License (RPh/PharmD).
  • Willingness to work scheduled weekends.
  • Ability to participate in overnight on-call rotation.
  • Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills.
  • First-time travel candidates are welcome to apply.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous Inpatient or Acute Care Hospital Pharmacy Experience.
  • Experience with sterile compounding and IV preparations.
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR.
  • Experience supporting emergency department or critical care pharmacy services.
