Innovation Manager Electrical Balance of System (EBOS)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a proactive organized and experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the Electrical Balance of System (EBOS) components installed in utility-scale and commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) projects. The ideal candidate will provide deep technical expertise in the design engineering and implementation of products within EBOS ensuring system performance safety reliability and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the technical authority for EBOS components such as DC cabling / Harness AC wiring Combiner Boxes Load Breaker Disconnects Transformers protection systems grounding and communication systems.
- Design Experiments and build rapid prototypes to validate the feasibility of emerging technologies.
- Create comparative estimates and cost-benefit analyses to prove the financial return of proposed solutions
- Support equipment selection and vendor evaluation to ensure seamless new product development and high volume production
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design engineers business development procurement product management and operations teams to ensure innovations are seamlessly integrated
- Execute structured testing analyze product metrics and troubleshoot performance constraints in the field
- Ensure EBOS components and designs comply with relevant codes (NEC IEC UL) safety standards and utility requirements.
- Provide troubleshooting support and root cause analysis for EBOS-related throughout product life cycle starting from Prototyping process
- Lead mentor and develop a team of Design Engineers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 810 years of experience in solar PV systems with a focus on EBOS design and implementation.
- Deep knowledge in EBOS arena
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with power system modeling tools (e.g. ETAP SKM or similar) is a plus.
